I have always been drawn to the power of communal singing & shared experiences. Being able to join together in song & explore other traditions, cultures, & beliefs is incredibly exciting!

I love being able to connect with kids and share my love of choral music with them. We have worked hard to build a process oriented program that focuses on constant growth and effort, and getting to work with students to turn that philosophy into the best possible music we can create is the most rewarding work I could do.

Some of the most extraordinary moments of my life happened while I was performing in a choir. Regardless of size, the choral ensemble is unique in its potential to create magical, musical moments in life. I love being able to explore that potential daily with students to create magical, musical moments in their lives.

I have always admired everything the Waukee vocal music department has done/accomplished. I'm thrilled to not only continue that tradition of excellence at Northwest but also work with our students, faculty, and families to create our own version of that success. How often do you get to say that you're a part of something from the very beginning?! I'm so excited for this opportunity.
